PREFACE
My book ‘’Secrets of Enoch’ ‘Insights’’ contains the entire book of ‘The Second Book of Enoch, also known as the Slavonic Enoch or 2 Enoch.
This study book is full of cross-referenced Bible verses, and extensive comments, which explain or make plain the wording in this ancient book of the ‘Secrets of Enoch’ or the ‘2nd Book of Enoch’. The original book of 2nd Enoch is known to have originally been written in ancient Hebrew.
It is traditionally told that Secrets of Enoch was written by Enoch, who was taken up to heaven and shown divine revelations according to Hebrews 11 in the Bible.
The book exists in various versions, with the most well-known being the Slavonic manuscript preserved in the Russian National Library.
The Second Book of Enoch is composed of 4 sections - In the first section (chapters 1–22), Enoch, at the age of 365, is taken by two angels through the ten heavens, one by one. In the second section (chapters 23–37), Enoch, now guided by Gabriel, speaks with God in the tenth heaven face to face. The third section (chapters 38–68) is a list of doctrinal and ethical instructions given by Enoch to his sons. The fourth section (Exaltation of Melchizedek) outlines the priestly succession of Enoch.
In the beginning of the book, we see Enoch’s ascent through the heavens, guided by 2 very tall angels with massive wings upon which Enoch sits and flies away into the heavens. There he encounters heavenly mysteries and is given insights into the workings of the universe. Much of the text involves descriptions of heavenly realms and the levels of angels, as well as Enoch’s conversations with these angelic beings. The book also delves into themes such as Pre-Creation, the creation of the physical world, and the nature of the universe. Enoch is also shown the destinies of both the righteous and the wicked.
This 2nd Book of Enoch brings out God’s final judgment on the wicked, the fate of the fallen angels, and the eventual establishment of God’s
kingdom on Earth. Evil is eventually destroyed and Good prevails.
The Second Book of Enoch offers readers a unique insight and it blends with the 1st Book of Enoch. Its combination of celestial journeys, angelic hierarchies, and End-time events as mentioned in the Bible in the Book of Daniel
